Creosote Affects Brings Home Two Brilliance Awards

Our metric of success is our clients’ results—but being recognized by our peers feels pretty good, too.

Creosote Affects recently won two awards for its 2021 work in InspirED’s Brilliance Awards. A panel of experts in educational advertising reviewed the marketing efforts of schools nationwide, judging them on their creativity, effectiveness and overall appeal.

InspirED presented Creosote with one Silver and one Bronze award. Creosote received the Bronze award in the Paid Advertising category for its multimedia work with Pomfret School. We partnered to launch a fresh take on Pomfret’s well-established “Be Heard” message. The copy and visuals in the video change with the music—adding an auditory element to Pomfret’s brand that is not often found in marketing efforts.

Said one judge, “Excellent photography, powerful script and professional execution. If I were a student watching this reel, I would be absolutely intrigued and curious about what it would take to be part of it.”

Creosote also received a Silver award in the COVID-19 Communications category for its collaboration with Delbarton School on an admissions video, “Grow Back Stronger.” Creosote worked with Delbarton to conceptualize and storyboard this piece, and provided remote art direction and guidance to staff and students to capture strategic footage. This video powerfully highlighted the school’s strength and adaptability in response to COVID-19, while also conveying the tenacity of the Delbarton community.

Creosote has won countless awards over the years, but our focus remains the same: to build better—more effective, more engaging, more innovative—branding solutions for our clients.
